This guide is taken from the Morty Build Spreadsheet but in a much easier way to view it.
¶ Pre-Raid Best-in-Slot Gear
Note: This only includes items avaiable in dungeons or mark of thiumph vendor with the execption of the neck. There are items that you could craft in some slots, but this serves as a simple setup for people who don't want to spend money. As these are preraid I've not included any "expensive" enchants.

¶ Talents
The Arcane talent tree focuses on maximizing single-target burst damage with mana efficiency. Below is the recommended pre-raid build:

Essential:
- Steady Shooting - Faster casting of steady shot and removes mana cost, your core ability.
- Feed Me Their Bones! - Every hunter ability reduces kill command cooldown by 2 seconds, core ability.
Highly Recommended:
- Hunting Frenzy - Increases your pet damage while a hunters mark is on the target, and when you kill something pet gets free use of it's abilities for 2 casts with 100% crit?!
- Mortal Shots & Leathal Shots & Survial Instincts - Crit, crit and more crit.
- Careful Aim - Free AP?
- Go for the Throat - More pet focus when you crit, which well.. you do alot.
Situational:
- Glyph of Fire Traps - Good if fight has AoE on it.
- Improved Tracking - Single target go to. If all mobs you're fighting are the same creature type, can be useful on AoE too, but not as much as Fire Traps.

Proper consumables are essential for maximizing your damage output:
Flasks:
- Distilled Flask Of The Executioner - 14 Crit / 60 AP (1% Crit)
- Distilled Flask Of Savage Assault - 25 Haste / 55 AP (2.5% Haste)
- Distilled Flask Of Distilled Wisdom - 65 Intellect (975 Mana)
- Distilled Flask Of Adept Striking - 10 Hit / 60 AP (1% Hit)
Sharpening Stone
- Soldier's Sharpening Stone (Bought with 500 honor from the honor quarter master BOP)
Potions:
- Potion of Lightning Reflexes - 60 Agility
- Potion of Soldier's Sage Oil - 40 Agility (Bought with 500 honor from the honor quarter master BOP)
Food:
- Fused Air Fried Chops - 23 Agility
- Spicy Dino Jerky - 20 Agility
- Clamette Magnifique - 24 AP / 14 SP
- Charred Bear Kabobs - 24 AP
- Fused Clear-Cut Chops - 10 Hit / 15 Agility
- Fused Savory Chops - 14 Hit / 10 Agility

¶ Macros
Check the macros page for a list of macros to help stream line your gameplay.
¶ Rotation
¶ Rotation Breakdown
Pre-Pull:
- Ensure you're in aspect of the hawk
- Cast Hunter's Mark on boss
- Pre-pot Potion of Lightning Reflexes 1-2 seconds before pull
Opening Burst:
- Pop all cooldowns (Rapid Fire, Beastal Wrath (Trinkets should be marcro'd to these))
- Cast Steady Shot
Sustain Phase:
- Cast Steady Shot (Enable press and hold casting in your interface -> combat settings)
- Use rapid fire and beastial wrath as they come off CD
- Kill shot when availiable
Mana Management:
- You shouldn't have many mana problems unless it's an AoE heavy fight, if you're running low switch to viper aspect to refill.
Movement:
- Disengage in the direction you need to move if possible.
- Use arcane shot while moving.
